Our People
For the seasonal workers, the contract takers, the nomads, the ones who have found their way to allow their passions to take the wheel and follow the natural migrations of the elements that drive us.
From the Palms to the Pines, the North to the South, searching for Wind, Water and Waves.
How we started
Palm to Pine started somewhere on the coast of Chile, while chasing wind and travelling with my favourite road-trip companion—my cousin, Kerrilyn.
Somewhere along the way, I asked her a very important question: What’s your favourite tree?
“The pine,” she said.
Naturally, I asked myself the same question. After some thought, I landed on the palm tree. And just like that, Palm to Pine was born.
Little did Kerrilyn know, that name was about to stick.
On our next road trip—this time driving around Vancouver Island in a 1980 camper—I showed up with a handful of shirts, an old iPhone for taking photos, and an idea I was ready to turn into something real.
What started as a name inspired by two trees has grown into a brand inspired by the places in between them.
Palm to Pine is about movement. Heading south when it gets cold, finding wind, chasing waves, taking the long way, and feeling equally at home under towering pines or beside a row of palms. It’s for people who don’t always take the straight path and who feel most like themselves somewhere between the mountains and the ocean.
Today, Palm to Pine is based in our favourite little wind town, La Ventana, Mexico, and ships around the world. We create comfortable, long-lasting clothing designed for life outside—and everything that happens along the way.
Because sometimes the best ideas start with a simple question on a road trip.
Palm to Pine. North to south. No straight lines.
